National park Dyje (dinner in Znovín Znojmo wine cellar)
This region near the Austrian border will charm you with its excellent wine, splendid nature and unique historic sights. Tourists are also attracted by specialised programmes and a network of cycling paths. Many of these paths will lead you around vineyards and wine cellars, thus permitting you to combine physical exercise with wine tasting.
Visit of the Šobes Vineyards
The vinyards called Šobes are owned by the Znovín Znojmo Winery and are probably the most spectacular vinyards to be found throughout Moravia. Lots of sunshine and regular morning mist help to produce rich, aromatic dry white wines – pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Rhine Riesling and Italian Riesling. Šobes hill is situated literally on the border with Austria. The area was a cold war „Buffer Zone“ and it is absolutely unspoiled. The countryside is amazing – with a beautiful river, making romantic meanders, waterfowl, totaly unspoiled woods. The region was officially declared a National Protected Area.
