SAKO Brno – incinerator plant (dinner in Brewery Starobrno)

SAKO Brno will solve the stricter legislative and technical requirements of European Union for operation of the waste energy utilization facility by reconstruction and modernization providing complex communal waste management both in Brno and within the South Moravia Region, in particular, meeting thus the requirement for material and energetic utilization of wastes and reducing dumping of biologically decomposable wastes. Application for a grant within the EU ISPA programme has been filed for the "Brno Waste Management" project in cooperation with the statutory city of Brno. *The investment total value amounts to CZK 2.2 billion, which means that the EU ISPA programme contribution is to amount to about CZK 1.5 billion.* The remaining part of the project value is to be financed from joint sources of the statutory city of Brno, State Fund for Environment and company's internal sources.

Mendel monastery and musem (dinner in Brewery Starobrno)

Mendel Monastery: This was established in 1323 by Queen Elizabeth Richsa. Since 1782 it has been an Augustinian monastery, In the 19th century the monastery was a centre of science and education in Moravia.

Even if you dont like genetics, you will not be bored. There are perfectly made exhibitions, also art is included. Brewery Starobrno
