The 19th Conference
EnviroInfo will be hosted by
Centre of Biostatics and Analyses
Masaryk University
in Brno
It continues the successful series of conferences
dedicated to information exchange among scientists, public
administrations, private and public companies involved
in environmental information processing as well as environmental
informatics end-users. Enviroinfo 2005 is a meeting place for experts from
leading edge technologies, fostering information flows in Europe and
beyond, standardization, necessary for a sustainable development.
The forthcoming conference will cover the wide scope
of environmental information systems topics. It will show
the state-of-the-art in research, development and application,
with a special focus on the topic
Networking environmental information.

Networking environmental information.
EnviroInfo 2005 is open to scientists, managers and
decision makers from various disciplines, experts from IT industry,
governmental institutions, international and intergovernmental
organisations,environmental agencies and networks, specialists of
theoretical and applied informatics, managers and experts from
environmental technology companies, consultants, students and the
concerned public.
The conference language is
English.
A continuous conference workshop track in German will be installed for
contributions on subjects of specific interest for German speaking
countries.
The conference is under the auspices
of Prof. Petr Fiala, rector of the Masaryk University in Brno,
Prof. Jacqueline McGlade, director of the European Environment Agency,
Dr. Libor Ambrozek, Minister of the Environment of the Czech Republic,
Prof. László Miklós, Minister of the Environment of the Slovak Republic,
Ing. Milan Venclík, first vice president of South Moravia
and Ing. Miroslav Hoek, deputy mayor of the City of Brno.
